Related Product Information for anti-sanA antibody
Vancomycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic. The main target of this antibiotic is the D-alanyl-D-alanine terminal dipeptide of peptidoglycan precursors, used by bacteria for constructing their cell walls. This prevents the reaction used to link peptidoglycan precursors together from taking place. Vancomycin binds with the substrate, not the enzyme: this is in contrast to the way penicillin inhibits peptidoglycan synthesis.

NCBI Description

ydcF and ycbC (COG1434) and sanA and yjgQ (COG2949) are four members of the DUF218 superfamily (PF02698). [More information is available at EcoGene: EG12025]. sanA encodes an inner membrane protein which is likely to be involved in cell envelope barrier functions. [More information is available at EcoCyc: EG12025].

Uniprot Description

Function: Participates in the barrier function of the cell envelope.

Product Notes

The sanA sana (Catalog #AAA604550) is an Antibody produced from Ascites and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Vancomycin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Immunofluorescence (IF). Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunofluorescence. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the sanA sana for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Vancomycin, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
