Related Product Information for anti-TTC11 antibody
TTC11 is a component of a mitochondrial complex that promotes mitochondrial fission. This protein can induce cytochrome C release from the mitochondrion to the cytosol, ultimately leading to apoptosis. It is also involved in peroxisomal growth and division. The C terminus is required for mitochondrial localisation, while the N teminus is necessary for mitochondrial fission.

NCBI Description

The balance between fission and fusion regulates the morphology of mitochondria. TTC11 is a component of a mitochondrial complex that promotes mitochondrial fission (James et al., 2003 [PubMed 12783892]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]

Uniprot Description

Involved in the fragmentation of the mitochondrial network and its perinuclear clustering. Plays a minor role in the recruitment and association of the fission mediator dynamin-related protein 1 (DNM1L) to the mitochondrial surface and mitochondrial fission. Can induce cytochrome c release from the mitochondrion to the cytosol, ultimately leading to apoptosis. Also mediates peroxisomal fission.

Product Notes

The TTC11 fis1 (Catalog #AAA206606) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TTC11 antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TTC11 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TTC11 fis1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TTC11, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
