Related Product Information for anti-TREM2 antibody
TREM-2 is a single Ig domain receptor expressed by cells of myeloid lineage. Two closely related transcripts were reported in mouse and designated TREM-2a and TREM-2b. TREM-2b is a pattern recognition receptor that binds anionic ligands. TREM-2 associates with the adapter protein DAP12 to deliver an activating signal that plays a role in both innate and adaptive immune responses.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a membrane protein that forms a receptor signaling complex with TYROBP. The encoded protein may be involved in chronic inflammation by triggering the production of constitutive inflammatory cytokines. Defects in this gene are a cause of polycystic lipomembranous osteodysplasia with sclerosing leukoencephalopathy (PLOSL). [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

TREM2: May have a role in chronic inflammations and may stimulate production of constitutive rather than inflammatory chemokines and cytokines. Forms a receptor signaling complex with TYROBP and triggers activation of the immune responses in macrophages and dendritic cells. Defects in TREM2 are a cause of polycystic lipomembranous osteodysplasia with sclerosing leukoencephalopathy (PLOSL); also known as presenile dementia with bone cysts or Nasu-Hakola disease (NHD). PLOSL is a recessively inherited disease characterized by a combination of psychotic symptoms rapidly progressing to presenile dementia and bone cysts restricted to wrists and ankles. PLOSL has a global distribution, although most of the patients have been diagnosed in Finland and Japan, with an estimated population prevalence of 2x10(-6) in the Finns. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 6p21.1

Cellular Component: intracellular membrane-bound organelle; integral to membrane; extracellular region; plasma membrane

Product Notes

The TREM2 trem2 (Catalog #AAA604718) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TREM-2b (Trem2, Triggering Receptor Expressed on Monocytes 2) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TREM-2b can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, ELISA and Western Blot. Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 2.5ug/10e6 cells. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TREM2 trem2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TREM-2b, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
