Produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, NS0-derived, recombinant human Transforming Growth Factor beta receptor type III (rhTGF- RIII) extracellular domain.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20 degree C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Related Product Information for anti-TGFBR3 antibody
TGF- RIII is a transmembrane proteoglycan that binds TGF- with high affinity. TGF- RIII lacks a cytoplasmic signaling domain and functions as an accessory receptor that enhances efficient TGF- 2 binding and signaling. A soluble form of the receptor can be released by proteolytic cleavage of the membrane-bound form.

NCBI Description

This locus encodes the transforming growth factor (TGF)-beta type III receptor. The encoded receptor is a membrane proteoglycan that often functions as a co-receptor with other TGF-beta receptor superfamily members. Ectodomain shedding produces soluble TGFBR3, which may inhibit TGFB signaling. Decreased expression of this receptor has been observed in various cancers. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.

Uniprot Description

TGFBR3: Binds to TGF-beta. Could be involved in capturing and retaining TGF-beta for presentation to the signaling receptors. Interacts with TCTEX1D4. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1p33-p32

Cellular Component: proteinaceous extracellular matrix; extracellular space; cell surface; endoplasmic reticulum; integral to plasma membrane; receptor complex; external side of plasma membrane

Molecular Function: heparin binding; transforming growth factor beta receptor activity; protein binding; fibroblast growth factor binding; glycosaminoglycan binding; transforming growth factor beta binding; punt binding; activin binding; coreceptor activity; SMAD binding; transforming growth factor beta receptor binding; PDZ domain binding

Product Notes

The TGFBR3 tgfbr3 (Catalog #AAA603189) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Transforming Growth Factor beta Receptor III (TGF beta Receptor III, TGF beta RIII, TGFR-3, Betaglycan) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Transforming Growth Factor beta Receptor III can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Western Blot, Direct ELISA Dilution: Western Blot: This antibody can be used at 1-2ug/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human TGF- RIII. The detection limit for rhTGF- RIII is approximately 50 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions. Direct ELISA: This antibody can be used at 0.5-1.0ug/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human TGF- RIII. The detection limit for rhTGF- RIII is approximately 15 ng/well. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TGFBR3 tgfbr3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Transforming Growth Factor beta Receptor III, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
