Related Product Information for anti-STEAP1 antibody
Six-transmembrane epithelial antigen of the prostate (STEAP) is expressed predominantly in human prostate tissue and in other common malignancies including prostate, bladder, colon, and ovarian carcinomas, and in Ewing's sarcoma, suggesting that it could function as an almost universal tumor antigen. Immunohistochemical analysis indicated STEAP-1 localization at cell-cell junctions of the secretory epithelium of prostate and prostate cancer cells. The favorable expression profiling of STEAP-1 in normal and cancer tissues suggested its potential use as a target for immunotherapy.

NCBI Description

This gene is predominantly expressed in prostate tissue, and is found to be upregulated in multiple cancer cell lines. The gene product is predicted to be a six-transmembrane protein, and was shown to be a cell surface antigen significantly expressed at cell-cell junctions. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Metalloreductase that has the ability to reduce both Fe3+ to Fe2+ and Cu2+ to Cu1+. Uses NAD+ as acceptor ().

Product Notes

The STEAP1 steap1 (Catalog #AAA200111) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The STEAP1 antibody reacts with Human, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's STEAP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). The antibody has been tested by ELISA, Western blot, immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry analysis to assure specificity and reactivity. Recommended dilution range for Western blot is 1:1,000~1:2,000, immunofluorescence 1:100 ~1:300 and immunohistochemistry analysis is 1:50~100. Recommended starting dilution for Western blot is 1:1,000, Immunofluorescence 1:100 and Immunohistochemistry analysis is 1:50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the STEAP1 steap1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "STEAP1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
