Dilution: Western Blot: Detects native SERPINB9 at 4~2kD as well as SERPINB9 complexed to granzyme B at ~67kD. As a positive control for SERPINB9, YT-Indy cells (a natural killer leukemia cell line) can be used. In other cell lines a non-specific protein band of ~63kD can be detected.
Immunohistochemistry: 1:100 Can be used on formaldehyde-fixed paraffin-embedded human tissues after pretreatment with 10mM citric acid pH 6.0 for 20 min.
Immunocytochemistry: Fix cells for 10 min in 10% formalin and then treat them as paraffin sections.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
PI9 belongs to the large superfamily of serine proteinase inhibitors (serpins), which bind to and inactivate serine proteinases. These interactions are involved in many cellular processes, including coagulation, fibrinolysis, complement fixation, matrix remodeling, and apoptosis (Sprecher et al., 1995 [PubMed 8530382]).[supplied by OMIM]
Uniprot Description
SERPINB9: Granzyme B inhibitor. Belongs to the serpin family. Ov-serpin subfamily.
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 6p25
Cellular Component: extracellular space; membrane; cytoplasm; intracellular; cytosol; nucleus
Molecular Function: serine-type endopeptidase inhibitor activity; protein binding; protease binding; caspase inhibitor activity
Biological Process: mast cell mediated immunity; response to bacterium; immune response; negative regulation of caspase activity; negative regulation by symbiont of host apoptosis; protection from natural killer cell mediated cytotoxicity; negative regulation of apoptosis

Product Notes
The SERPINB9 serpinb9 (Catalog #AAA609428) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SERPINB9 (Serine/Cysteine Proteinase Inhibitor Clade B Member 9, Serpin Peptidase Inhibitor Clade B (Ovalbumin) Member 9, Serpin B9, Cytoplasmic Antiproteinase 3, CAP3, CAP-3, Peptidase Inhibitor 9, Proteinase Inhibitor 9, PI9, PI-9) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SERPINB9 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Not suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Dilution: Western Blot: Detects native SERPINB9 at 4~2kD as well as SERPINB9 complexed to granzyme B at ~67kD. Immunocytochemistry: Fix cells for 10 min in 10% formalin and then treat them as paraffin sections. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SERPINB9 serpinb9 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SERPINB9, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
