Immunofluorescence: Detection of RV strain SA11 in paraformaldehyde-fixed HT29 cells 9 hours post-infection. Cells were permeabilized with 0.1% Triton-X100 for 15 minutes at 4 degree C prior to staining.
Endusers should determine optimal concentrations for their applications.
Antigen
Purified bovine rotavirus cell culture adapted strain MR.
Dilution Instruction
Dilute in PBS or medium that is identical to that used in the assay system.
Preparation and Storage
This antibody is stable for at least one (1) year at 4 degree C or -20 degree C. If frozen, store in appropriate aliquots to avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Related Product Information for anti-Rotavirus A antibody
Background: Rotavirus (RV) is the major cause of infantile gastroenteritis worldwide, however, RV vaccination has substantially decreased the rate of infant mortality. RV is a double-stranded RNA virus in the family Reoviridae. There are nine species of RV referred to as A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H and I; rotavirus A is the most common species, responsible for more than 90% of rotavirus infections in humans.

Product Notes

The Rotavirus A (Catalog #AAA191614) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rotavirus A Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Bovine and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Rotavirus A can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunofluorescence (IF). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Rotavirus A for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Rotavirus A, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
