Testing Data (Total lysates (15 µg protein) from E. coli BL21 cells were resolved by electrophoresis (4-12% Bis-Tris gel), transferred to nitrocellulose, and probed with 1:100000 diluted (0.005 µg/mL) purified anti-E. coli RNA Polymerase beta antibody (clone 8RB13). Proteins were visualized using an HRP goat anti-mouse-IgG secondary antibody (clone Poly4053, Cat. No. 405306). Ponceau S staining (lower) was used as loading control. Related Product Information for anti-RNA Polymerase beta antibody
RNA polymerase (RNAP or RNApol) is an enzyme that produces primary transcript RNA. The beta subunit is the second-largest subunit, and is encoded by the roB gene. RNA polymerase beta is a subunit which, along wtih alpha (rpoC), limits core polymerase expression.

Product Notes

The RNA Polymerase beta (Catalog #AAA680139) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Purified anti-E. coli RNA Polymerase beta Antibody reacts with E Coli, Bordetella, Chlamydiae, Myxococcus, Salmonella, Vibrio and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's RNA Polymerase beta can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunoprecipitation (IP). WB - Quality tested; ELISA, IP - Reported in the literature, not verified in house Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by Western blotting. For Western blotting, the suggested use of this reagent is 0.25 - 1.0 ug per ml. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application. Additional reported applications (for the relevant formats) include: immunoprecipitation. The epitope of clone 8RB13 has been mapped to the sequence PEEKLLRAIFGEKAS. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the RNA Polymerase beta for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RNA Polymerase beta, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
