Related Product Information for anti-PDE1B antibody
Entrez Summary: The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase (PDE) family, and PDE1 subfamily. Members of the PDE1 family are calmodulin-dependent PDEs that are stimulated by a calcium-calmodulin complex. This PDE has dual-specificity for the second messengers, cAMP and cGMP, with a preference for cGMP as a substrate. cAMP and cGMP function as key regulators of many important physiological processes. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is primarily found in the nucleolus, where it can bind to the 5' UTR of the insulin-like growth factor II leader 3 mRNA and may repress translation of insulin-like growth factor II during late development. The encoded protein contains several KH domains, which are important in RNA binding and are known to be involved in RNA synthesis and metabolism. A pseudogene exists on chromosome 7, and there are putative pseudogenes on other chromosomes. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

IGF2BP3: RNA-binding protein that act as a regulator of mRNA translation and stability. Binds to the 5'-UTR of the insulin-like growth factor 2 (IGF2) mRNAs. Binds to sequences in the 3'-UTR of CD44 mRNA. Belongs to the RRM IMP/VICKZ family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: RNA-binding; Spliceosome; Translation

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 7p15.3

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; cytosol

Molecular Function: mRNA 3'-UTR binding; mRNA 5'-UTR binding; protein binding; RNA binding; translation regulator activity

Biological Process: anatomical structure morphogenesis; gene expression; negative regulation of translation; regulation of cytokine biosynthetic process; translation

Product Notes

The PDE1B igf2bp3 (Catalog #AAA476658) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-PDE1B Mouse mAb reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PDE1B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PDE1B igf2bp3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PDE1B, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
