Related Product Information for anti-NP antibody
Background: Influenza A viral nucleoprotein (NP) plays a critical role in virus replication and host adaptation. The influenza A virus nucleoprotein (NP) is an essential multifunctional protein that encapsidates the viral genome and functions as an adapter between the virus and the host cell machinery. NPs from all strains of influenza A viruses contain two nuclear localization signals (NLSs): a well-studied monopartite NLS1 and a less-characterized NLS2, thought to be bipartite. The nucleocapsid is a complex of the viral nucleoprotein, RNA, and several other viral proteins. The nucleoprotein forms large, RNA-bound, helical filaments and acts as a scaffold for additional viral proteins.

Product Notes

The NP (Catalog #AAA8119492) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Pan Influenza A Nucleoprotein Antibody, Rabbit MAb reacts with H3N2 and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Pan Influenza A Nucleoprotein can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB: 0.1-0.5ug/mL ELISA: 0.1-0.2ug/mL Antibody's applications haven't been validated with corresponding virus positive samples. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NP for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Pan Influenza A Nucleoprotein, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
