Related Product Information for anti-LT beta R antibody
The LT beta R activates two different NF-kappaB pathways that lead to distinct patterns of gene induction, including selected chemokines, and the cytokine BAFF, which is essential for the survival of mature B lymphocytes. LT beta R activates the classical NF-kappaB (relA/p50) pathway, like the type 1 TNF receptor (TNFR1), that regulates proinflammatory genes, like the chemokine MIP1 beta . However, LT beta R, unlike TNFR1, also activates the processing of p100 to form RelB/p52 complexes, which activate genes involved in lymphoid organ formation and lymphocyte survival.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily. The major ligands of this receptor include lymphotoxin alpha/beta and tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 14. The encoded protein plays a role in signalling during the development of lymphoid and other organs, lipid metabolism, immune response, and programmed cell death. Activity of this receptor has also been linked to carcinogenesis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2012]

Uniprot Description

LTBR: Receptor for the heterotrimeric lymphotoxin containing LTA and LTB, and for TNFS14/LIGHT. Promotes apoptosis via TRAF3 and TRAF5. May play a role in the development of lymphoid organs.

Product Notes

The LT beta R ltbr (Catalog #AAA565141) is an Antibody produced from Rat: Purified from concentrated hybridoma tissue culture supernatant. and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The LT beta R (human) monoclonal antibody (Carlos-1) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's LT beta R can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Flow Cytometry (1:1,000) Immunoprecipitation (1:200) Suggested dilutions/conditions may not be available for all applications. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LT beta R ltbr for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "LT beta R, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
