Host
Mouse
Reactivity
Human
Clonality
Monoclonal
Isotype
IgG2a
Clone Number
2Q597
Specificity
Recognizes the globular domain of the a5 chain of intact laminin and blocks the neurite stimulating activity of laminin. This antibody was originally thought to recognize laminin alpha 1 or A, but further characterization has confirmed its specificity for the laminin alpha 5 chain. No crossreactivity is observed to mouse or rat laminin.

Form/Format
Supplied as a liquid. No preservative added.
Applicable Applications for anti-LanA antibody
ELISA (EL/EIA), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunofluorescence (IF)
Application Notes
Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunofluorescence and Immunoprecipitation. Does not work in Western Blot.
Dilution: ELISA: 1:11,000 (50% maximal binding to human laminin)
Immunofluorescence: Tissue staining pattern is most consistent with that observed for laminin a5 in mouse.
Optimal dilution determined by the researcher.
Immunogen
Purified human laminin
Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Product Notes

The LanA (Catalog #AAA604073) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Laminin A5 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Laminin A5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunofluorescence (IF). Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunofluorescence and Immunoprecipitation. Does not work in Western Blot. Dilution: ELISA: 1:11,000 (50% maximal binding to human laminin) Immunofluorescence: Tissue staining pattern is most consistent with that observed for laminin a5 in mouse. Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LanA for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Laminin A5, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
