Preparation and Storage
This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20 degree C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8 degree C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20 degree C.

Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.

Related Product Information for anti-IL-34 antibody
Mouse anti Human interleukin-34 antibody, clone C03-5C3, recognizes interleukin-34 (IL-34), also known as C16orf77. IL-34 is an inflammatory cytokine with the ability to induce macrophage activation and migration (Zhou et al. 2016). This protein is produced by multiple cell types including endothelial cells, adipocytes, neurons, macrophages, fibroblasts, and epithelial cells (Franzè et al. 2020). IL-34 is involved with development and maintenance of multiple macrophage subsets, including osteoclasts, Langerhans cells, and microglia. If macrophages are cultured in the presence of IL-34, these cells show immunosuppressive properties (Lindau et al. 2018). Due to its inflammatory role, IL-34 dysregulation can be involved with inflammatory bowel disease, rheumatoid arthritis, heart failure, and kidney diseases (Cheng et al. 2017). IL-34 is overexpressed in several cancer types, and tumor cells can produce and respond to this cytokine (Franzè et al. 2020)

The biotinylated Mouse anti Human interleukin-34 antibody, clone C03-5C3 can be used as a detection antibody in a sandwich ELISA with the purified Mouse anti Human interleukin-34 antibody, clone D02-3A7 as the capture antibody.

NCBI Description

Interleukin-34 is a cytokine that promotes the differentiation and viability of monocytes and macrophages through the colony-stimulating factor-1 receptor (CSF1R; MIM 164770) (Lin et al., 2008 [PubMed 18467591]).[supplied by OMIM, May 2008]

Uniprot Description

IL34: Cytokine that promotes the proliferation, survival and differentiation of monocytes and macrophages. Promotes the release of proinflammatory chemokines, and thereby plays an important role in innate immunity and in inflammatory processes. Plays an important role in the regulation of osteoclast proliferation and differentiation, and in the regulation of bone resorption. Signaling via CSF1R and its downstream effectors stimulates phosphorylation of MAPK1/ERK2 AND MAPK3/ERK1. Belongs to the IL-34 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted; Cell cycle regulation; Cytokine

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 16q22.1

Cellular Component: extracellular space

Molecular Function: growth factor activity; cytokine activity; macrophage colony stimulating factor receptor binding

Biological Process: positive regulation of cell proliferation; innate immune response; positive regulation of protein amino acid phosphorylation; inflammatory response

Product Notes

The IL-34 il34 (Catalog #AAA226190) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse anti Human INTERLEUKIN-34:Biotin reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's INTERLEUKIN-34 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). ELISA: 1.0ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL-34 il34 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "INTERLEUKIN-34, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
