Host
Mouse
Clonality
Monoclonal
Isotype
IgG2b
Specificity
Anti-Interleukin-1 receptor [Murine MAbs recognize human IL-1 receptor; no effect on IL-1 binding.]
These antibodies react with cell surface and soluble human IL-1 receptor; Specific epitopes are unknown, but they do partially inhibit (30-50%) binding of one another to IL-1 receptor. They do not block binding of IL-1 to receptor, and they do not cross-react with receptors for human IL-2 or IL-4.
Form/Format
200 ug Protein G-purified antibody in PBS, pH 7.4
Applicable Applications for anti-IL1R1 antibody
ELISA, Radioimmunoassay, Immunohistochemistry
Application Notes
ELISA: Can be used as capture reagents or second antibody at a concentration of 5 ug/ml.
RIA: Concentrations of 20-30 ng/ml of these antibodies will bind radiolabeled IL-1 receptor in a radioimmunoassay format.
Immunohistochemistry: IL-1 receptor can be detected on cultured cells using antibody concentrations of 10-100 ug/ml.
Antigen
The extracellular domain of the type I human IL-1 receptor.
Stabilizer
None
Preservatives
None. Available on request
Dilutions Instructions
Dilute in PBS or medium which is identical to that used in the assay system.
Preparation and Storage
These antibodies are stable for at least one (1) year at -20 degree C to -70 degree C. Store product in appropriate aliquots to avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine receptor that belongs to the interleukin 1 receptor family. This protein is a receptor for interleukin alpha (IL1A), interleukin beta (IL1B), and interleukin 1 receptor, type I(IL1R1/IL1RA). It is an important mediator involved in many cytokine induced immune and inflammatory responses. This gene along with interleukin 1 receptor, type II (IL1R2), interleukin 1 receptor-like 2 (IL1RL2), and interleukin 1 receptor-like 1 (IL1RL1) form a cytokine receptor gene cluster in a region mapped to chromosome 2q12. [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

IL-1RA: Receptor for IL1A, IL1B and IL1RN. After binding to interleukin-1 associates with the corecptor IL1RAP to form the high affinity interleukin-1 receptor complex which mediates interleukin-1-dependent activation of NF-kappa-B, MAPK and other pathways. Signaling involves the recruitment of adapter molecules such as TOLLIP, MYD88, and IRAK1 or IRAK2 via the respective TIR domains of the receptor/coreceptor subunits. Binds ligands with comparable affinity and binding of antagonist IL1RN prevents association with IL1RAP to form a signaling complex. Belongs to the interleukin-1 receptor family.

Protein type: Receptor, cytokine; Membrane protein, integral; EC 2.7.11.25

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q12

Cellular Component: cell surface; membrane; integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane; extracellular region

Molecular Function: interleukin-1, Type I, activating receptor activity; protein binding; signal transducer activity; transmembrane receptor activity; protease binding; platelet-derived growth factor receptor binding; interleukin-1 receptor activity

Biological Process: cell surface receptor linked signal transduction; regulation of inflammatory response; immune response

Product Notes

The IL1R1 il1r1 (Catalog #AAA190297) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Interleukin-1 receptor can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA, Radioimmunoassay, Immunohistochemistry. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL1R1 il1r1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Interleukin-1 receptor, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
