Related Product Information for anti-IL-23R antibody
IL-23, a member of the IL-12 cytokine family, is composed of a p40 subunit, which is shared with IL-12, and a p19 subunit, with an approximate molecular weight of 60 kDa. IL-23 is produced by activated dendritic cells and macrophages in response to microorganisms. IL-23 promotes Th17 cells producing TNF-a, IL-17, IL-6, IL-22, GM-CSF, and other novel factors, which are associated with the induction of autoimmune inflammation. IL-23 is essential for Th17 differentiation, expansion, and survival by binding to its receptor, thereby activating the signaling pathway. Many studies revealed that the IL-23/Th17 pathway is implicated in the pathophysiology of various autoimmune diseases, such as autoimmune arthritis, primary biliary cirrhosis, and inflammatory bowel disease.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a subunit of the receptor for IL23A/IL23. This protein pairs with the receptor molecule IL12RB1/IL12Rbeta1, and both are required for IL23A signaling. This protein associates constitutively with Janus kinase 2 (JAK2), and also binds to transcription activator STAT3 in a ligand-dependent manner. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Associates with IL12RB1 to form the interleukin-23 receptor. Binds IL23 and mediates T-cells, NK cells and possibly certain macrophage/myeloid cells stimulation probably through activation of the Jak-Stat signaling cascade. IL23 functions in innate and adaptive immunity and may participate in acute response to infection in peripheral tissues. IL23 may be responsible for autoimmune inflammatory diseases and be important for tumorigenesis.

Product Notes

The IL-23R il23r (Catalog #AAA668975) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Monoclonal Antibody to IL-23R (Clone: ABM25G4) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's IL-23R can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1-2 ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL-23R il23r for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IL-23R, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
