(Immunostaining analysis in HeLa cells. HeLa cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS. The cells were immunostained with anti-ID1 mAb. [Lot No. 2456C1a-1] )
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a helix-loop-helix (HLH) protein that can form heterodimers with members of the basic HLH family of transcription factors. The encoded protein has no DNA binding activity and therefore can inhibit the DNA binding and transcriptional activation ability of basic HLH proteins with which it interacts. This protein may play a role in cell growth, senescence, and differentiation. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
ID1: ID (inhibitor of DNA binding) HLH proteins lack a basic DNA-binding domain but are able to form heterodimers with other HLH proteins, thereby inhibiting DNA binding. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The ID1 id1 (Catalog #AAA120402) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse monoclonal antibody Anti-Human ID1 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ID1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Dot Blot (DB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ID1 id1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ID1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
