Related Product Information for anti-Hsp60 antibody
Hsp60 is an abundant protein synthesized constitutively in various cell types that is induced to higher concentrations after cell shock. It is present in mitochondria of many mammalian species and has highly similar counterparts in bacteria and plants (where is localized to chloroplasts). In general, Hsp60 proteins are present in high concentrations, are induced in response to environmental stresses (such as heat shock) are homo-oligomeric structures of 7 or 14 subunits that dissociate reversibly in the presence of Mg2+ and ATP, have ATPase activity, and play a role in folding and assembly of oligomeric protein structures. Hsp60 has been linked to Alzheimer's disease, coronary artery disease, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, and other autoimmune diseases.

Product Notes

The Hsp60 (Catalog #AAA190474) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Hsp60 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry, Immunoblot, Immunohistochemistry. Immunoblotting: use at 0.25-1ug/ml. A band of ~60 kDa is detected. Immunohistochemistry: use at 5ug/ml Flow cytometry: use at 10ug/ml. These are recommended concentrations. User should determine optimal concentrations for their application. Positive control: Heat-shocked HeLa cell lysate. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Hsp60 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Hsp60, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
