Related Product Information for anti-HNRNPA2B1 antibody
Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNP) bind to nascent RNA polymerase II transcripts and are involved in transcript-specific packaging as well as alternative splicing of pre-mRNAs. hnRNPs also appear to influence mRNA metabolism and transport. In vivo, the M proteins bind to mRNA, and in vitro they bind avidly to poly(G) and poly(U) homopolymers. Four different isoforms of hnRNP are produced by alternative splicing: M1, M2, M3 and M4. Ongoing studies have theorized that hnRNPs may cause certain genetic diseases such as myotonic dystrophy, which is the most common form of adult muscular dystrophy. The identification of hnRNPs may therefore be important to determining the cause and cure for genetic diseases.

NCBI Description

This gene belongs to the A/B subfamily of ubiquitously expressed heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs). The hnRNPs are RNA binding proteins and they complex with heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA). These proteins are associated with pre-mRNAs in the nucleus and appear to influence pre-mRNA processing and other aspects of mRNA metabolism and transport. While all of the hnRNPs are present in the nucleus, some seem to shuttle between the nucleus and the cytoplasm. The hnRNP proteins have distinct nucleic acid binding properties. The protein encoded by this gene has two repeats of quasi-RRM domains that bind to RNAs. This gene has been described to generate two alternatively spliced transcript variants which encode different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

Product Notes

The HNRNPA2B1 hnrnpa2b1 (Catalog #AAA631518) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The hnRNP A2/B1 (Heterogeneous Nuclear Ribonucleoproteins A2/B1, HNRNPA2B1, HNRPA2B1, HNRNPA2, HNRPA2, HNRNPB1, HNRPB1, DKFZp779B0244, FLJ22720, RNPA2, SNRPB1) (Azide Free) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's hnRNP A2/B1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunofluorescence (IF). Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunofluorescence and Western Blot. Dilution: ELISA: 1-3ug/ml Immunofluorescence: 20ug/ml Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HNRNPA2B1 hnrnpa2b1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "hnRNP A2/B1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
