Related Product Information for anti-GITR-L antibody
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. This cytokine is a ligand for receptor TNFRSF18/AITR/GITR. It has been shown to modulate T lymphocyte survival in peripheral tissues. This cytokine is also found to be expressed in endothelial cells, and is thought to be important for interaction between T lymphocytes and endothelial cells.

Uniprot Description

TNFSF18: Cytokine that binds to TNFRSF18/AITR/GITR. Regulates T- cell responses. Can function as costimulator and lower the threshold for T-cell activation and T-cell proliferation. Important for interactions between activated T-lymphocytes and endothelial cells. Mediates activation of NF-kappa-B. Belongs to the tumor necrosis factor family.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Apoptosis; Cytokine

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1q23

Cellular Component: extracellular space; cell surface; plasma membrane; integral to membrane

Molecular Function: cytokine activity; tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily binding; tumor necrosis factor receptor binding; receptor binding

Biological Process: tumor necrosis factor-mediated signaling pathway; cell-cell signaling; T cell proliferation during immune response; regulation of T cell proliferation; signal transduction; negative regulation of apoptosis; activation of NF-kappaB transcription factor

Product Notes

The GITR-L tnfsf18 (Catalog #AAA188187) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-GITR-L antibody (DM52), Rabbit mAb reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GITR-L can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). ELISA: 1:5000-10,000 FC/FACS: 1:101. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GITR-L tnfsf18 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GITR-L, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
