NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the GATA family of zinc-finger transcription factors that are named for the consensus nucleotide sequence they bind in the promoter regions of target genes. The encoded protein plays an essential role in regulating transcription of genes involved in the development and proliferation of hematopoietic and endocrine cell lineages. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
Uniprot Description
GATA2: Transcriptional activator which regulates endothelin-1 gene expression in endothelial cells. Binds to the consensus sequence 5'-AGATAG-3'. Endothelial cells. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The GATA2 gata2 (Catalog #AAA605192) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GATA-2 (GATA binding protein 2, Endothelial transcription factor GATA-2, FLJ45948, MGC2306, NFE1B) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GATA-2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Suitable for Western Blot. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GATA2 gata2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GATA-2, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
