Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the FXYD family of small membrane proteins that share a 35-amino acid signature sequence domain, beginning with the sequence PFXYD and containing 7 invariant and 6 highly conserved amino acids. The protein encoded by this gene is a plasma membrane substrate for several kinases, including protein kinase A, protein kinase C, NIMA kinase, and myotonic dystrophy kinase. It is thought to form an ion channel or regulate ion channel activity and act as an accessory protein of Na,K-ATPase. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]

Uniprot Description

PLM: a protein of the FXYD family of small ion transport regulators or channels. Induces a hyperpolarization-activated chloride current when expressed in Xenopus oocytes. May have a functional role in muscle contraction. Major plasma membrane substrate for PKA and PKC in several different tissues. Phosphorylated in response to insulin and adrenergic stimulation.Highest expression in skeletal muscle and heart. Moderate levels in brain, placenta, lung, liver, pancreas, uterus, bladder, prostate, small intestine and colon with mucosal lining.

Cellular Component: membrane; integral to plasma membrane; cell; plasma membrane; integral to membrane; caveola; sarcolemma

Molecular Function: chloride channel activity; sodium channel regulator activity; myosin binding; ion channel activity; ATPase binding

Product Notes

The Fxyd1 fxyd1 (Catalog #AAA6121502) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The FXYD Domain-containing Ion Transport Regulator 1, phosphorylated (Ser68) (Phospholemman, FLM, Fxyd1, Plm) (Azide free) (HRP) reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's FXYD Domain-containing Ion Transport Regulator 1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). ELISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-1:500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Fxyd1 fxyd1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FXYD Domain-containing Ion Transport Regulator 1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
