NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
FCN2: May function in innate immunity through activation of the lectin complement pathway. Calcium-dependent and GlcNAc- binding lectin. Enhances phagocytosis of S.typhimurium by neutrophils, suggesting an opsonic effect via the collagen region. Belongs to the ficolin lectin family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Cellular Component: collagen; extrinsic to external side of plasma membrane; extracellular region
Molecular Function: G-protein-coupled receptor binding; carbohydrate binding; sialic acid binding; pattern recognition receptor activity
Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; negative regulation of virion penetration into host cell; immune system process; cell surface pattern recognition receptor signaling pathway; innate immune response; complement activation, lectin pathway; recognition of apoptotic cell

Product Notes
The Fcnb fcn2 (Catalog #AAA584022) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Ficolin-2, Human, mAb GN4 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Ficolin-2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunoassay (IA), Immunoprecipitation (IP). . Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Fcnb fcn2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Ficolin-2, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
