Related Product Information for anti-Fas, Neutralizing antibody
Apoptosis or programmed-cell death is a physiological process essential for the normal development and maintenance of homeostasis in many organisms. This "cellular suicide" can be mediated by the Fas antigen (CD95, APO1). Fas antigen is a cell-surface glycoprotein (40-50kD). It belongs to the nerve growth factor/tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor family. Mice carrying the lymphoproliferation (lpr) mutation develop lymphoadenopathy and suffer from a systematic lupus erythematosus-like autoimmune disease. This mutation is a defect in the Fas gene. Fas is expressed in several tissues including blood, where it expression is upregulated on activated T and B lymphocytes and natural killer cells.

Product Notes

The Fas, Neutralizing (Catalog #AAA601701) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Fas, Neutralizing (CD95, APO-1) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Fas, Neutralizing can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Neutralization. Suitable for use in Neutralization, Flow Cytometry and Western Blot. Dilution: Neutralization: 500ng/ml neutralized over 50% of the apoptosis induced by F0019-64 Human Fas, Activating, treatment of human Jurkat cells. Western Blot: 5ug/ml. Flow Cytometry: 5-20ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Fas, Neutralizing for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Fas, Neutralizing, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
