Related Product Information for anti-Diglycyl Lysine antibody
Protein ubiquitination is a fundamentally important post-translational modification that regulates myriad cell signaling pathways in eukaryotes. Alterations in protein ubiquitination have been linked to cancers and neurodegenerative, cardiovascular, immunological, and inflammatory diseases.

Identification of exact ubiquitinylation sites is challenging under physiological conditions, but the recent development of an immunoprecipitation approach allows for enrichment and identification of peptides derived from the ubiquitinated portion of proteins.

When ubiquitinated protein is digested with trypsin a diglycine residue remains at any lysine site of ubiquitin attachment. Diglycyl Lysine, mAb (GX41) facilitates easy capture and enrichment of peptides derived from ubiquitinated proteins by recognizing the diglycyl-lysine residue with no detectable reactivity to non modified lysines.

Product Notes

The Diglycyl Lysine (Catalog #AAA565861) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Diglycyl Lysine monoclonal antibody (GX41) reacts with General and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Diglycyl Lysine can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Diglycyl Lysine for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Diglycyl Lysine, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
