NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the DEAD box protein family. DEAD box proteins, characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD), are putative RNA helicases. They are implicated in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly. Based on their distribution patterns, some members of this family are believed to be involved in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division. The nucleolar protein encoded by this gene interacts in a hormone-dependent manner with nuclear receptors, and represses their transcriptional activity. Alternative splice variants that encode different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes
The DDX54 ddx54 (Catalog #AAA6157415) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DDX54 (ATP-dependent RNA Helicase DDX54, ATP-dependent RNA Helicase DP97, DEAD Box RNA Helicase 97kD, DEAD Box Protein 54, MGC2835) (PE) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DDX54 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). IF: 10ug/ml Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DDX54 ddx54 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DDX54, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
