NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the discoidin domain receptor subclass of the receptor tyrosine kinase (RTKs) protein family. RTKs play a key role in the communication of cells with their microenvironment. The encoded protein is a collagen-induced receptor that activates signal transduction pathways involved in cell adhesion, proliferation, and extracellular matrix remodeling. This protein is expressed in numerous cell types and may alos be involved in wound repair and regulate tumor growth and invasiveness. Mutations in this gene are the cause of short limb-hand type spondylometaepiphyseal dysplasia. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2017]

Product Notes

The DDR2 ddr2 (Catalog #AAA8550884) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DDR2 Ascites Mouse mAb reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DDR2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:100-1600. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DDR2 ddr2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DDR2, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
