Biological Significance
Cyclins are a family of proteins that control the progression of cells through the cell cycle by activating cyclin-dependent kinase (Cdk) enzymes. Cyclins were originally named because their concentration varies in a cyclical fashion during the cell cycle. The oscillations of the cyclins, namely fluctuations in cyclin gene expression and destruction by proteolysis, induce oscillations in Cdk activity to drive the cell cycle.
Cross-Reactivity
Bovine
Immunogen
Cylicin I antibody was raised in mouse using Calyx preparation from bovine sperm as the immunogen.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C for short term storage. Aliquot and store at -20 degree C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Product Notes

The ccni-a (Catalog #AAA831003) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Cyclin I antibody reacts with Bovine and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Cyclin I can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ccni-a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cyclin I, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
