Related Product Information for anti-CCNDBP1 antibody
Cyclin D1 (CCND1) is an important positive regulator of the G1/S phase of the cell cycle. It regulate cell cycle transition from G1 phase to S phase It is a well-established human oncogene which is frequently amplified or overexpressed in cancers (25409185). Cyclin D1b is one of two proteins translated from Cyclin D1 transcripts (isoforms a and b) that are generated due to gene polymorphism. Low Cyclin D1b expression in cervical cancer tissue, with an expression level in moderately or poorly differentiated tissues was significantly lower than that in well-differentiated tissues (25120779). Diseases associated with CCND1 include multiple myeloma and mantle cell lymphoma.

NCBI Description

This gene was identified by the interaction of its gene product with Grap2, a leukocyte-specific adaptor protein important for immune cell signaling. The protein encoded by this gene was shown to interact with cyclin D. Transfection of this gene in cells was reported to reduce the phosphorylation of Rb gene product by cyclin D-dependent protein kinase, and inhibit E2F1-mediated transcription activity. This protein was also found to interact with helix-loop-helix protein E12 and is thought to be a negative regulator of liver-specific gene expression. Several alternatively spliced variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2009]

Uniprot Description

CCNDBP1: May negatively regulate cell cycle progression. May act at least in part via inhibition of the cyclin-D1/CDK4 complex, thereby preventing phosphorylation of RB1 and blocking E2F- dependent transcription. Belongs to the CCNDBP1 family. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 15q15.2

Product Notes

The CCNDBP1 ccndbp1 (Catalog #AAA668314) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Monoclonal Antibody to Cyclin D1 (Clone: ABM47F5) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Cyclin D1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC). IHC: 5-10 ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCNDBP1 ccndbp1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cyclin D1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
