Related Product Information for anti-Cdc2 p34 antibody
Cyclin dependent kinases are key regulators of the progression of the cell cycle. Early in the cell cycle Cdk2, Cdk4, Cdk6 and their associated cyclins regulate the G1 to S phase transition (1, 2). Cdk2 plays a key role in the G1/S and S/G2 transitions through its associations with cyclin D1, cyclin D2, cyclin D3, cyclin E and cyclin A. Cdk4 also forms complexes with the D type cyclins, and is thought to regulate cell growth through the G1 phase of the cell cycle (3-6). The late stages of the cell cycle are regulated by another cyclin dependent kinase, Cdc2 p34. This kinase exists as a complex with both cyclin A and cyclin B. The best characterized of these associations is the Cdc2 p34-cyclin B complex that is required for the G2 to M phase transition (7,8).

Product Notes

The Cdc2 p34 (Catalog #AAA440092) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Cdc2 p34 (17) Antibody reacts with Mouse, human, Xenopus and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Cdc2 p34 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin. Western blotting, immunoprecipitation (as active kinase) and IHC (including paraffin-embedded sections). Non cross-reactive with other cyclin dependent kinases. Western blotting starting dilution: 1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Cdc2 p34 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cdc2 p34, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
