Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C or at -20 degree C if preferred. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. This product is photosensitive and should be protected from light. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life: 18 months from date of despatch.
Related Product Information for anti-CD80 antibody
Rat anti Mouse CD80 antibody, clone RM80 recognizes mouse CD80 (B7-1), a 60kD cell surface glycoprotein which is a member of the CD28/B7 family. In mice, CD80 is expressed on monocytes, peritoneal macrophages and dendritic cells, and expression may be significantly increased upon B lymphocytes by LPS and by IL-4. CD80 has been identified as a ligand for CD28 and cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen-4 (CTLA-4), two structurally similar molecules expressed on T cells. CD28 and CTLA4 are two receptors that have essential but opposing functions in T-cell stimulation. The Interaction of CD80 with CD28 stimulates and sustains T cell responses, whereas the interaction of CD80 with CTLA4 is reported to inhibit T-cell responses.

Uniprot Description

CD80: Involved in the costimulatory signal essential for T- lymphocyte activation. T-cell proliferation and cytokine production is induced by the binding of CD28 or CTLA-4 to this receptor.

Protein type: Immunoglobulin superfamily; Membrane protein, integral

Cellular Component: cell surface; membrane; integral to membrane; external side of plasma membrane

Molecular Function: protein binding

Biological Process: positive regulation of peptidyl-tyrosine phosphorylation; T cell costimulation; positive regulation of alpha-beta T cell proliferation; positive regulation of T cell proliferation

Product Notes

The CD80 cd80 (Catalog #AAA214316) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's CD80 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow cytometry (FC/FACS). Flow Cytometry: Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 1x106 cells in 100ul. The Fc region of monoclonal antibodies may bind non-specifically to cells expressing low affinity Fc receptors. This may be reduced by using SeroBlock FcR. Flow Cytometry: Maximum Dilution: Neat. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD80 cd80 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD80, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
