Related Product Information for anti-CD150 antibody
Rat anti Mouse CD150 antibody, clone 9D1 recognizes murine CD150, also known as signalling lymphocyte activation molecule (SLAM). Murine CD150 is a 75kDa cell surface glycoprotein that is expressed on T-cells and B-cells, and has been shown to be upregulated on activated T-cells and stimulated macrophages. Reports suggest that the extracellular domain of CD150 is the receptor for the measles virus and acts as a co-activator on T-cells and B-cells. Rat anti Mouse CD150 antibody, clone 9D1 is reported to have functional activity (Howie et al. 2002).

Uniprot Description

SLAM: a type I membrane protein present on the surface of B cells, T cells and CD83+ dendritic cells. A high-affinity self-ligand considered to be important in bidirectional T <-> B-cell stimulation. SLAM-induced signal-transduction events in T lymphocytes are different from those in B cells. Two modes of SLAM signaling are likely to exist: one in which the inhibitor SH2D1A (SAP) acts as a negative regulator and another in which protein-tyrosine phosphatase 2C (SHP-2)-dependent signal transduction operates. Its cytoplasmic domain interacts with SAP through part of its SH2 domain, and with SHP-2. Three alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Protein type: Receptor, misc.; Membrane protein, integral

Cellular Component: cell surface; membrane; plasma membrane; integral to membrane; phagocytic vesicle; external side of plasma membrane

Molecular Function: protein binding; receptor activity

Biological Process: regulation of catalytic activity; regulation of vesicle fusion; lymphocyte activation

Product Notes

The CD150 slamf1 (Catalog #AAA212638) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's CD150 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow cytometry (FC/FACS). Flow Cytometry: Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 106 cells in 100ul. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD150 slamf1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD150, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
