Related Product Information for anti-CD15 antibody
CD15 is a carbohydrate that is referred to as the Lewis X antigen, also known as alpha-(1,3)-fucosyltransferase 4, which is expressed on a variety of glycolipids and glycoproteins found on the cell surface of neutrophils, monocytes, eosinophils and non-hematopoietic tissues including embryonic tissues. CD15 is reported to function as an adhesion molecule and is involved in chemotaxis and phagocytosis. Expression of CD15 is also associated with a wide variety of tumour cells including some adenocarcinomas and certain types of myeloid and lymphoid leukaemias. Reed-Sternberg cells, found in cases of Hodgkins Lymphoma, also express CD15 and antibodies recognising the CD15 antigen are often used to help differentiate between Hodgkins and non-Hodgkins lymphoma.

Product Notes

The CD15 fut4 (Catalog #AAA570325) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CD15/ Lewis X antigen/ alpha-(1,3)-fucosyltransferase 4 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD15/ Lewis X antigen/ alpha-(1,3)-fucosyltransferase 4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunohistochemistry (IHC-frozen), Immunohistochemistry (IHC-paraffin), Immunocytochemistry (ICC). The BRA4F1 antibody is suitable for the detection of CD15 by flow cytometry, immunocytochemisty and immunohistochemistry of frozen and paraffin embedded tissues. Optimal antibody dilutions for the different applications should be determined by titration. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD15 fut4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD15/ Lewis X antigen/ alpha-(1,3)-fucosyltransferase 4, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
