Related Product Information for anti-CD121a antibody
Hamster anti Mouse CD121a monoclonal antibody, clone JAMA-147 recognizes murine CD121a, the ~80kDa type I interleukin-1 receptor. CD121a is a single pass type I membrane glycoprotein, weakly expressed on most cells and tissues including T lymphocytes, thymocytes, epithelial cells and dendritic cells, with stronger expression reported on fibroblasts. The ligands for CD121a are the interleukin-1 (IL-1) family members; IL-1 alpha; IL-1 beta and IL-1 receptor antagonist. IL-1 is a mediator of inflammation and can elicit a variety of other biological responses through binding to CD121a. Hamster anti mouse CD121 antibody, clone JAMA-147 has been reported to block IL-1 dependent cellular responses (Rogers et al. 1992).

Uniprot Description

IL-1RA: Receptor for IL1A, IL1B and IL1RN. After binding to interleukin-1 associates with the corecptor IL1RAP to form the high affinity interleukin-1 receptor complex which mediates interleukin-1-dependent activation of NF-kappa-B, MAPK and other pathways. Signaling involves the recruitment of adapter molecules such as TOLLIP, MYD88, and IRAK1 or IRAK2 via the respective TIR domains of the receptor/coreceptor subunits. Binds ligands with comparable affinity and binding of antagonist IL1RN prevents association with IL1RAP to form a signaling complex. Belongs to the interleukin-1 receptor family.

Protein type: Receptor, cytokine; Membrane protein, integral; EC 2.7.11.25

Cellular Component: extracellular space; protein complex; cell surface; membrane; axon; postsynaptic density; extracellular region; integral to membrane; plasma membrane; nucleus

Molecular Function: interleukin-1, Type I, activating receptor activity; ionotropic glutamate receptor binding; signal transducer activity; protein binding; protease binding; platelet-derived growth factor receptor binding; interleukin-1 receptor activity

Biological Process: response to radiation; cytokine and chemokine mediated signaling pathway; regulation of inflammatory response; heat acclimation; signal transduction

Product Notes

The CD121a il1r1 (Catalog #AAA212729) is an Antibody produced from Hamster and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's CD121a can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Flow Cytometry: Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 106 cells in 100ul. Flow Cytometry: Minimum Dilution: 1/25; Maximum Dilution: 1/100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD121a il1r1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD121a, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
