Murine CD107a/LAMP-1 (Mr 110-140 kDa with a core protein of Mr ~40 kDa)
CD107a, also known as lysosomal-associated membrane protein 1 (LAMP-1), is a heavily glycosylated, type I transmembrane protein that constitutes one of the two major sialoglycoproteins on lysosomal membranes that can be used to distinguish lysosomes from other organelles.^1 It is a ligand for galaptin, an S-type lectin present in extracellular matrix, through its recognition of acetyllactosamine oligosaccharide chains, and is a ligand for E-selectin-mediated cell adhesion.^2 CD107a is principally expressed in epithelial cells and macrophages in a variety of organs in normal and Beige mutant mice.^3 LAMP-1 may function in protecting the inner surface of the lysosomal membrane by forming a barrier to lysosomal hydrolases.^4
Form/Format
Purified (UNLB) Antibody
Applicable Applications for anti-CD107a (LAMP-1) antibody
Flow Cytometry; Immunohistochemistry (Frozen Sections); Immunoprecipitation; Western Blot
Application Notes
Flow Cytometry Suggested Dilution: <=1 ug/10^6 cells

Plasma membrane fraction of mouse embryo NIH3T3 cell line
Characterization
To ensure lot-to-lot consistency, each batch of monoclonal antibody is tested by flow cytometry to conform to characteristics of a standard reference reagent.
Preparation and Storage
The purified (UNLB) antibody is supplied as 0.5 mg of purified immunoglobulin in 1.0 mL of 100 mM borate buffered saline, pH 8.2. No preservatives or amine-containing buffer salts added. Store at 2- 8 degree C.
The fluorescein (FITC) conjugate is supplied as 0.5 mg in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3. Store at 2-8 degree C.
The allophycocyanin (APC) conjugate is supplied as 0.1 mg in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3 and a stabilizing agent. Store at 2-8 degree C. Do not freeze!
Protect conjugated forms from light. Each reagent is stable for the period shown on the bottle label if stored as directed.

Product Notes

The CD107a (LAMP-1) (Catalog #AAA673717) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rat Anti-Mouse CD107a/LAMP-1-UNLB reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD107a (LAMP-1) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry; Immunohistochemistry (Frozen Sections); Immunoprecipitation; Western Blot. Flow Cytometry Suggested Dilution: <=1 ug/10^6 cells. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD107a (LAMP-1) for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD107a (LAMP-1), Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
