Preparation and Storage
This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20 degree C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8 degree C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20 degree C.

Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.

Related Product Information for anti-CCL20 antibody
Mouse anti Human CCL20 antibody, clone O03-3H12, recognizes C-C motif chemokine 20, also known as LARC, MIP3A, and SCYA20. The chemokine CCL20 is expressed mostly in the lymphatic tissue, lung, and liver, and is produced by cells involved with the inflammatory and immune responses. CCL20 plays an important role in recruiting inflammatory cells to the site of infection or injury (Soto et al. 2017). However, CCL20 is involved with pathogenesis of chronic inflammatory disorders, specifically interstitial lung fibrosis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and can contribute to tumor metastasis (Zhang et al. 2017). Inhibition of CCL20, along with its ligand CCR6, might have valuable therapeutic potential for treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, and is therefore a target of interest for drug discovery (Ranasinghe and Eri 2018).

The biotinylated Mouse anti Human CCL20 antibody, clone O03-3H12 can be used as a detection antibody in a sandwich ELISA with the purified Mouse anti Human CCL20 antibody, clone J03-4D4 as the capture antibody.

NCBI Description

This antimicrobial gene belongs to the subfamily of small cytokine CC genes. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The protein encoded by this gene displays chemotactic activity for lymphocytes and can repress proliferation of myeloid progenitors. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2014]

Uniprot Description

CCL20: Chemotactic factor that attracts lymphocytes and, slightly, neutrophils, but not monocytes. Inhibits proliferation of myeloid progenitors in colony formation assays. May be involved in formation and function of the mucosal lymphoid tissues by attracting lymphocytes and dendritic cells towards epithelial cells. C-terminal processed forms have been shown to be equally chemotactically active for leukocytes. Possesses antibacterial activity E.coli ATCC 25922 and S.aureus ATCC 29213. Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The CCL20 ccl20 (Catalog #AAA226087) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse anti Human CCL20:Biotin reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CCL20 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). ELISA: 1.0ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCL20 ccl20 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CCL20, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
