Related Product Information for anti-CACNB2 antibody
The L-type calcium channel is composed of four subunits: alpha-1, alpha-2, beta and gamma. The beta subunit of voltage-dependent calcium channels aids the function of the calcium channel by increasing the peak calcium current, shifting the voltage dependencies of activation and inactivation, modulating G protein inhibition and controlling the alpha-1 subunit membrane targeting. CAB2 is a membrane protein that is expressed in all tissues. The unprocessed precursor is 660 amino acids in length and has a predicted molecular weight of 74.5KDa. It belongs to the calcium channel beta subunit family and contains one SH3 domain. CAB2 is involved in the MAPK signalling pathway and is also associated with Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome.

Uniprot Description

CACNB2: The beta subunit of voltage-dependent calcium channels contributes to the function of the calcium channel by increasing peak calcium current, shifting the voltage dependencies of activation and inactivation, modulating G protein inhibition and controlling the alpha-1 subunit membrane targeting. Defects in CACNB2 are the cause of Brugada syndrome type 4 (BRGDA4). A heart disease characterized by the association of Brugada syndrome with shortened QT intervals. Brugada syndrome is a tachyarrhythmia characterized by right bundle branch block and ST segment elevation on an electrocardiogram (ECG). It can cause the ventricles to beat so fast that the blood is prevented from circulating efficiently in the body. When this situation occurs (called ventricular fibrillation), the individual will faint and may die in a few minutes if the heart is not reset. Belongs to the calcium channel beta subunit family. 8 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The CACNB2 cacnb2 (Catalog #AAA607877) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CACNB2 (Calcium channel, voltage-dependent, beta 2 subunit, CAB2, CACNLB2, EA5, EJM, dihydropyridine-sensitive L-type) reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CACNB2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Dilution: ELISA: 0.1ng/ml Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CACNB2 cacnb2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CACNB2, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
