Related Product Information for anti-ADCK3 antibody
This gene encodes a mitochondrial protein similar to yeast ABC1, which functions in an electron-transferring membrane protein complex in the respiratory chain. It is not related to the family of ABC transporter proteins. Expression of this gene is induced by the tumor suppressor p53 and in response to DNA damage, and inhibiting its expression partially suppresses p53-induced apoptosis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found; however, their full-length nature has not been determined.

Uniprot Description

ADCK3: May be a chaperone-like protein essential for the proper conformation and functioning of protein complexes in the respiratory chain. Defects in ADCK3 are the cause of coenzyme Q10 deficiency, primary, type 4 (COQ10D4). An autosomal recessive disorder characterized by childhood-onset of cerebellar ataxia and exercise intolerance. Patient manifest gait ataxia and cerebellar atrophy with slow progression. Additional features include brisk tendon reflexes and Hoffmann sign, variable psychomotor retardation and variable seizures. Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. ADCK protein kinase family. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Protein kinase, atypical; Kinase, protein; Protein kinase, Ser/Thr (non-receptor); EC 2.7.11.-; ATYPICAL group; ABC1 family; ABC1-A subfamily

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1q42.13

Cellular Component: mitochondrion

Molecular Function: protein serine/threonine kinase activity; ATP binding

Biological Process: ubiquinone biosynthetic process; protein amino acid phosphorylation

Disease: Coenzyme Q10 Deficiency, Primary, 4

Product Notes

The ADCK3 adck3 (Catalog #AAA6012748) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CABC1 (ADCK3, CABC1, Chaperone activity of bc1 complex-like, mitochondrial, aarF domain-containing protein kinase 3) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CABC1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunofluorescence (IF). Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, ELISA. Dilution: ELISA: 1:1000 Western Blot: 1:100~250 Immunofluorescence: 1:10~50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ADCK3 adck3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CABC1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
