Related Product Information for anti-C5a/C5a des-Arg antibody
Product Description: Monoclonal antibody 2952 reacts with a neo-epitope on C5a (des-Arg) that is formed upon cleavage of C5 into C5a and C5b. C5 is involved in the activation of the lythic pathway within the complement system which is an important factor in innate immunity. The complement pathways can be divided in the activation pathways and lytic pathway. The activation pathways lead via C3 to the cleavage of the fifth complement component C5. C5a induces smooth muscle contraction, increases vascular permeability, causes degranulation of mast cells and basophils, and release of lysosomal enzymes. In addition C5a stimulates the directed migration of neutrophils, eosinophils, basophils and monocytes. Recent studies indicate the modulation of the acute-phase response in liver and an overall immune response by inducing synthesis of cytokines such as TNF-alpha IL-1beta, IL-6 and IL-8.

The C5a/C5a des-Arg (Catalog #AAA584173) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The C5a/C5a des-Arg, Human, mAb 2952 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's C5a/C5a des-Arg can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, FS, Immunoassay (IA), Western Blot (WB). Application Use: For immunohistology, and Western blotting, dilutions to be used depend on detection system applied. It is recommended that users test the reagent and determine their own optimal dilutions. The typical starting working dilution is 1:50. For functional studies, in vitro dilutions have to be optimized in user's experimental setting. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the C5a/C5a des-Arg for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "C5a/C5a des-Arg, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
