Related Product Information for anti-LALBA antibody
LALBA encodes alpha-lactalbumin, a principal protein of milk. Alpha-lactalbumin forms the regulatory subunit of the lactose synthase (LS) heterodimer and beta 1,4-galactosyltransferase (beta4Gal-T1) forms the catalytic component. Together, these proteins enable LS to produce lactose by transfering galactose moieties to glucose. As a monomer, alpha-lactalbumin strongly binds calcium and zinc ions and may possess bactericidal or antitumor activity. A folding variant of alpha-lactalbumin, called HAMLET, likely induces apoptosis in tumor and immature cells.

Product Notes

The LALBA lalba (Catalog #AAA9700290) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The alpha Lactalbumin Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's alpha Lactalbumin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin. WB: 1:1000 IF: 1:100-1:200 IHC-P: 1:50-1:300. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LALBA lalba for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "alpha Lactalbumin, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
