Uniprot Description

GIRK2: This potassium channel may be involved in the regulation of insulin secretion by glucose and/or neurotransmitters acting through G-protein-coupled receptors. Inward rectifier potassium channels are characterized by a greater tendency to allow potassium to flow into the cell rather than out of it. Their voltage dependence is regulated by the concentration of extracellular potassium; as external potassium is raised, the voltage range of the channel opening shifts to more positive voltages. The inward rectification is mainly due to the blockage of outward current by internal magnesium. Belongs to the inward rectifier-type potassium channel (TC 1.A.2.1) family. KCNJ6 subfamily.

Product Notes

The Mouse KCNJ6 kcnj6 (Catalog #AAA9321874) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9321874 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse KCNJ6. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "potassium inwardly-rectifying channel, subfamily J, member 6, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
