Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Host
E Coli
Purity/Purification
>95%, as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC
Form/Format
Recombinant Mouse Interleukin-17 was lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered PBS solution pH 7.5.
Sequence Length
158
Domain
four helix cytokine core
Host Note
Optimized DNA sequence encoding Mouse Interleukin-17A mature chain was expressed in Escherichia Coli.
Endotoxin
Endotoxin content was assayed using a LAL gel clot method.
Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/ug (1EU/ug).
Reconstitution
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.
Molecular Weight Note
Native Mouse Interleukin17A, generated by the proteolytic removal of the signal peptide and propeptide, the molecule has a calculated molecular mass of approximately 16kDa.

Recombinant Mouse IL-17A is a disulfide-linked monodimeric protein consisting of 137 amino acid residue subunits, and migrates as an approximately 16kDa protein under reducing conditions in SDS-PAGE.
Preparation and Storage
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20 degree C.
Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2 degree - 8 degree C for one month, or at -20 degree C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity.

Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Related Product Information for IL-17 recombinant protein
Interleukin-17 (IL-17 or IL- 17A) is the founder member of the IL-17 cytokine family, which shares 50% homology with IL-17F. IL-17 cytokines are produced by T- helper (TH) 17 cells, γδ T cells, and other immune cells. IL-17A and IL-17F form homodimers and heterodimers as functional ligands. IL-17 cytokines bind to 2 receptors, IL-17RA and IL-17RC. IL-17RC forms a receptor heterodimer with IL-17RA. The receptor heterodimer is preferred by IL-17 ligands, thus, either IL-17RA knockout (KO) or IL- 17RC KO completely abolishes IL-17 signaling. IL-17A and IL-17F are key proinflammatory cytokines involved in many inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.

Product Notes

The IL-17 il17a (Catalog #AAA553258) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Interleukin-17, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
