Related Product Information for IFN-gamma R1/CD119 recombinant protein
The tetrameric receptor complex for IFNgamma consists of two subunits, IFNGR1 (IFNgamma Ralpha) and IFNGR2 (IFNgamma Rbeta), through which the dimeric IFN-gamma exerts its biological functions, including antiviral, antiproliferation and immune-modulatory activity in mammals. Both IFNGR1 and IFNGR2 are single transmembrane proteins belonging to the class II cytokine family. FNGR1, widely expressed in most host cells, is essential for IFNgamma binding, receptor trafficking, and signal transduction. IFNGR1 possesses an intracellular Janus tyrosine kinase (JAK) 1 binding site, a signal transducer and activator of transcription 1 (STAT1) binding site. The resulting STAT1 homodimers translocate from the cytoplasm to the nucleus and bind to the interferon-gamma activated sequence (GAS) promoter to induce expression of downstream interferon stimulated genes (ISGs).

Uniprot Description

Associates with IFNGR2 to form a receptor for the cytokine interferon gamma (IFNG) (PubMed:2530582, PubMed:2532365, PubMed:2137461, PubMed:2531896, PubMed:2530216). Ligand binding stimulates activation of the JAK/STAT signaling pathway ().

Product Notes

The IFN-gamma R1/CD119 ifngr1 (Catalog #AAA2553536) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Human Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is Ala26-Asp253. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Interferon gamma Receptor 1/IFN-gamma R1/CD119, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
