Related Product Information for IFI30 recombinant protein
IFI30, also as known as gamma-interferon-inducible lysosomal thiol reductase, belongs to the GILT family. This protein is a lysosomal thiol reductase that at low pH can reduce protein disulfide bonds. The enzyme is expressed constitutively in antigen-presenting cells and induced by gamma-interferon in other cell types. This enzyme has an important role in MHC class II-restricted antigen processing. This protein facilitates the generation of MHC class II-restricted epitodes from disulfide bond-containing antigen by the endocytic reduction of disulfide bonds. Also facilitates MHC class I-restricted recognition of exogenous antigens containing disulfide bonds by CD8+ T-cells or cross-presentation. Recombinant human IFI30 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E Coli and purified by conventional column chromatography, after refolding of the isolated inclusion bodies in a renaturation buffer.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a lysosomal thiol reductase that at low pH can reduce protein disulfide bonds. The enzyme is expressed constitutively in antigen-presenting cells and induced by gamma-interferon in other cell types. This enzyme has an important role in MHC class II-restricted antigen processing. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Lysosomal thiol reductase that can reduce protein disulfide bonds. May facilitate the complete unfolding of proteins destined for lysosomal degradation. Plays an important role in antigen processing. Facilitates the generation of MHC class II-restricted epitodes from disulfide bond-containing antigen by the endocytic reduction of disulfide bonds (). Facilitates also MHC class I-restricted recognition of exogenous antigens containing disulfide bonds by CD8+ T-cells or crosspresentation ().

Product Notes

The IFI30 ifi30 (Catalog #AAA204459) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The tag for this protein is His-tag. AAA Biotech's IFI30 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IFI30 ifi30 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MGSMNAPLVN VTLYYEALCG GCRAFLIREL FPTWLLVMEI LNVTLVPYGN AQEQNVSGRW EFKCQHGEEE CKFNKVEACV LDELDMELAF LTIVCMEEFE DMERSLPLCL QLYAPGLSPD TIMECAMGDR GMQLMHANAQ RTDALQPPHE YVPWVTVNGK PLEDQTQLLT LVCQLYQGK. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IFI30, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
