LZK a TKL kinase of the MLK family. Synergizes with antioxidant protein-1 to activate NF-kappaB. Forms a functional signaling complex with JIP-1, a scaffold protein of the c-Jun NH(2)-terminal kinase pathway. This kinase can phosphorylate and activate JNK and MKK7.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of serine/threonine protein kinase family. This kinase contains a dual leucine-zipper motif, and has been shown to form dimers/oligomers through its leucine-zipper motif. This kinase can phosphorylate and activate MAPK8/JNK, MAP2K7/MKK7, which suggests a role in the JNK signaling pathway. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Activates the JUN N-terminal pathway through activation of the MAP kinase kinase MAP2K7. Acts synergistically with PRDX3 to regulate the activation of NF-kappa-B in the cytosol. This activation is kinase-dependent and involves activating the IKK complex, the IKBKB-containing complex that phosphorylates inhibitors of NF-kappa-B.

Product Notes

The M3K13 map3k13 (Catalog #AAA8510817) is an Antibody and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The M3K13 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's M3K13 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500~1:3000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the M3K13 map3k13 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "M3K13, Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
