Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for TNFRSF6B elisa kit
Description: This Human Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 6B (TNFRSF6B) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate TNFRSF6B in samples. An antibody specific for TNFRSF6B has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any TNFRSF6B present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for TNFRSF6B is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of TNFRSF6B bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: This gene belongs to the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily. The encoded protein is postulated to play a regulatory role in suppressing FasL- and LIGHT-mediated cell death. It acts as a decoy receptor that competes with death receptors for ligand binding. Overexpression of this gene has been noted in gastrointestinal tract tumors, and it is located in a gene-rich cluster on chromosome 20, with other potentially tumor-related genes. Two transcript variants encoding the same isoform, but differing in the 5 UTR, have been observed for this gene.

NCBI Description

This gene belongs to the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily. The encoded protein is postulated to play a regulatory role in suppressing FasL- and LIGHT-mediated cell death. It acts as a decoy receptor that competes with death receptors for ligand binding. Over-expression of this gene has been noted in gastrointestinal tract tumors. Read-through transcription into this gene from the neighboring upstream gene, which encodes regulator of telomere elongation helicase 1 (RTEL1), generates a non-coding transcript. Uniprot Description

TNFRSF6B: Decoy receptor that can neutralize the cytotoxic ligands TNFS14/LIGHT, TNFSF15 and TNFSF6/FASL. Protects against apoptosis. Detected in fetal lung, brain and liver. Detected in adult stomach, spinal cord, lymph node, trachea, spleen, colon and lung. Highly expressed in several primary tumors from colon, stomach, rectum, esophagus and in SW480 colon carcinoma cells.

Protein type: Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 20q13.3

Cellular Component: extracellular space

Molecular Function: protein binding; receptor activity

Biological Process: apoptosis; negative regulation of apoptosis

Product Notes

The Human TNFRSF6B tnfrsf6b (Catalog #AAA9713879) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9713879 ELISA Kit recognizes Human TNFRSF6B. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Superfamily Member 6B (TNFRSF6B), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
