Intended Use: The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm using a spectrophotometer. In order to measure the concentration ofTRANSFORMING GROWTH FACTOR betaRECEPTOR 1in the sample, This TRANSFORMING GROWTH FACTOR betaRECEPTOR 1ELISA Kit includes a set of calibration standards. The calibration standards are assayed at the same time as the samples and allow the operator to produce a standard curve of Optical Density versusTRANSFORMING GROWTH FACTOR betaRECEPTOR 1concentration. The concentration ofTRANSFORMING GROWTH FACTOR betaRECEPTOR 1in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene forms a heteromeric complex with type II TGF-beta receptors when bound to TGF-beta, transducing the TGF-beta signal from the cell surface to the cytoplasm. The encoded protein is a serine/threonine protein kinase. Mutations in this gene have been associated with Loeys-Dietz aortic aneurysm syndrome (LDAS). Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2008]

Uniprot Description

TGFBR1: a TKL kinase of the serine/threonine-protein kinase receptor (STKR) family. R1 and R2 TGF-beta receptors dimerize after binding TGF-beta at the cell surface. Found in all tissues; most abundant in placenta and least abundant in brain and heart.

Product Notes

The Human TGFBR1 tgfbr1 (Catalog #AAA3803730) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA3803730 ELISA Kit recognizes Human TGFBR1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Transforming Growth Factor beta Receptor 1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
