Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for TAAR9 elisa kit
Description: This Human Trace amine-associated receptor 9 (TAAR9) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate TAAR9 in samples. An antibody specific for TAAR9 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any TAAR9 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for TAAR9 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of TAAR9 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: TAAR9 is a member of a large family of rhodopsin G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs, or GPRs). GPCRs contain 7 transmembrane domains and transduce extracellular signals through heterotrimeric G proteins

NCBI Description

TAAR9 is a member of a large family of rhodopsin G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs, or GPRs). GPCRs contain 7 transmembrane domains and transduce extracellular signals through heterotrimeric G proteins.[supplied by OMIM, Jul 2005]

Uniprot Description

TAAR9: Orphan receptor. Could be a receptor for trace amines. Trace amines are biogenic amines present in very low levels in mammalian tissues. Although some trace amines have clearly defined roles as neurotransmitters in invertebrates, the extent to which they function as true neurotransmitters in vertebrates has remained speculative. Trace amines are likely to be involved in a variety of physiological functions that have yet to be fully understood. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Protein type: Membrane protein, multi-pass; GPCR, family 1; Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, GPCR

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 6q23.2

Cellular Component: plasma membrane; integral to membrane

Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor activity; trace-amine receptor activity

Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway

Product Notes

The Human TAAR9 taar9 (Catalog #AAA9714124) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9714124 ELISA Kit recognizes Human TAAR9. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Trace Amine-Associated Receptor 9 (TAAR9), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
