Related Product Information for TGFBR2 elisa kit
Principle of the Assay: The MyBioSource' Human TGFBR2 ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of Human TGFBR2 in Cell Culture Supernatants, Serum, Plasma. This assay employs an antibody specific for Human TGFBR2 coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and TGFBR2 present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-Human TGFBR2 antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of TGFBR2 bound. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm.

Background/Introduction: TGFBR2 (transforming growth factor, beta receptor II (70/80kDa)), also known as TGF-beta receptor type-2, TGFR-2, TGF-beta type II receptor, Transforming growth factor-beta receptor type II(TGF-beta receptor type II, TbetaR-II), is a member of the Ser/Thr protein kinase family and the TGFB receptor subfamily. A TGFBR2 cDNA encoding a deduced 565-amino acid protein with a calculated molecular mass of approximately 60 kD in length. The encoded protein is a transmembrane protein that has a protein kinase domain, forms a heterodimeric complex with another receptor protein, and binds TGF-beta. This receptor/ligand complex phosphorylates proteins, which then enter the nucleus and regulate the transcription of a subset of genes related to cell proliferation. Mutations in this gene have been associated with Marfan syndrome, Loeys-Deitz aortic aneurysm syndrome, and the development of various types of tumors. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different informs have been characterized. TGFBR2 may be a target of the EWS-FLI1 fusion protein found in Ewing sarcoma and related peripheral primitive neuroectodermal tumors.

Product Notes

The Human TGFBR2 tgfbr2 (Catalog #AAA8244571) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA8244571 ELISA Kit recognizes Human TGFBR2. AAA Biotech's TGFBR2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Sandwich ELISA (EIA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TGFBR2 tgfbr2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TGFBR2, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
