Human
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Human TFF2. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Human TFF2 and analogues was observed. Note: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross- reactivity detection between Human TFF2 and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist.

Related Product Information for TFF2 elisa kit
Description: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of TFF2 in human serum, plasma and other biological fluids
Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human TFF2. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and bound by the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human TFF2 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human TFF2, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human TFF2. You can calculate the concentration of Human TFF2 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

Members of the trefoil family are characterized by having at least one copy of the trefoil motif, a 40-amino acid domain that contains three conserved disulfides. They are stable secretory proteins expressed in gastrointestinal mucosa. Their functions are not defined, but they may protect the mucosa from insults, stabilize the mucus layer and affect healing of the epithelium. The encoded protein inhibits gastric acid secretion. This gene and two other related trefoil family member genes are found in a cluster on chromosome 21. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

TFF2: Inhibits gastrointestinal motility and gastric acid secretion. Could function as a structural component of gastric mucus, possibly by stabilizing glycoproteins in the mucus gel through interactions with carbohydrate side chains.

Product Notes

The Human TFF2 tff2 (Catalog #AAA2513830) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2513830 ELISA Kit recognizes Human TFF2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TFF2, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
