Human Relaxin-3 (RLN3) ELISA Kit | RLN3 elisa kit
Human Relaxin-3 (RLN3) ELISA Kit
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Background: Relaxins are known endocrine and autocrine/paracrine hormones, belonging to the insulin gene superfamily. In the human there are three non-allelic relaxin genes, RLN1, RLN2 and RLN3. RLN1 and RLN2 share high sequence homology. Relaxin is produced by the ovary, and targets the mammalian reproductive system to ripen the cervix, elongate the pubic symphysis and inhibit uterine contraction. It may have additional roles in enhancing sperm motility, regulating blood pressure, controlling heart rate and releasing oxytocin and vasopressin. Relaxin 3 is a member of the relaxin family. The active form of the encoded protein consists of an A chain and a B chain but their cleavage sites are not definitely described yet. It may play a role in neuropeptide signaling processes.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the relaxin family of insulin-like hormones that is expressed predominantly in the brain and plays a role in physiological processes such as stress, memory and appetite regulation. The encoded protein is a precursor that is proteolytically processed to generate a heterodimeric mature form consisting A and B chains interlinked by disulfide bonds. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2015]
Uniprot Description
RLN3: May play a role in neuropeptide signaling processes. Ligand for LGR7, relaxin-3 receptor-1 (GPCR135) and relaxin-3 receptor-2 (GPCR142). Belongs to the insulin family.

Product Notes
The Human RLN3 rln3 (Catalog #AAA9714455) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9714455 ELISA Kit recognizes Human RLN3. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Relaxin-3 (RLN3), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
